I'm thinking about limiting myself to 30 minutes a day on this. But Substack feels oddly addictive— it’s looking more like a social network than a writing tool 😅

Not if this is your mental garden. You are planting seeds with your writing and tending to your creativity. However, please tend to your real garden also because I love all gardens haha

In my experience, writing is never a waste of time. Writing gives me a feeling of exhilaration, on the days I can get into the groove. On the days I don't write my mood goes to a bad place. I live with depression and I can safely say that writing is better for me than all my medications combined. As far as time management of the writing, that's something I'm still working on.
