I'm thinking about limiting myself to 30 minutes a day on this. But Substack feels oddly addictive— it’s looking more like a social network than a writing tool 😅
Not if this is your mental garden. You are planting seeds with your writing and tending to your creativity. However, please tend to your real garden also because I love all gardens haha
In my experience, writing is never a waste of time. Writing gives me a feeling of exhilaration, on the days I can get into the groove. On the days I don't write my mood goes to a bad place. I live with depression and I can safely say that writing is better for me than all my medications combined. As far as time management of the writing, that's something I'm still working on.
Writing is recording history or creating new stories…it’s never a waste of time.
My boyfriend is saying the same thing haha but we're not wasting time if it makes us happy 😊

Yes of course the proper time limit or organization is necessary. I guess this hype is just for us building our publication 😊

Wow, I love your comparison of writing to sowing seeds. 💯🎉

I love that you’ve found writing to be more effective than medication for your mental health. That says so much about its impact.
In my personal experience, this writing thing outlasts every relationship. It’ll be there when he’s there and when he’s gone. Keep writing.
That’s both comforting and concerning 😄
I know. Lol.
I’m someone who enjoys a lot of different things. I love gardening, and I’ll be sharing more about it in my upcoming newsletters 🌺
